Mertens – Napoli
Belgian winger Dries Mertens stated that moving to Napoli was good for his career and he is determined to do better.
This season, the attacker scored 13 goals and provided 12 assists in 47 matches for the Partenopei.
“My transfer to Italy was a step forward for my career, it allowed me to improve and grow,” Mertens told Voetbalkrant.com.
“I feel good in Naples, I want to prove it for many years to come.
“We won an important trophy like Coppa Italia, I am sure that we will do better in the next season.
“We will be even stronger.”
Mertens joined Napoli from PSV last summer for a fee of €9.5 million .
