Chievo captain Sergio Pellissier has congratulated his teammates after their 1-0 victory over Cagliari on Sunday, a result that sees them remain in the Serie A.
The Flying Donkey’s won narrowly, but the three points against Cagliari was enough to keep the side away safe for another season, something that pleased the long time club veteran.
“It was not easy, there was an incredible tension, but my teammates were awesome and I want to thank them for having kept Chievo in Serie A,” he told Chievo TV.
The 35-year-old, didn’t feature in the match due to a red card issued against Torino the week before, however he watched from the side in support of the team.
The former Torino man made 23 appearances in all competitions this season, 17 of which were from the bench.
