Napoli are targeting Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin as the club seeks to bolster its ranks during the upcoming transfer window.
The Partonopei are expected to be busy during the summer as coach Rafa Benitez looks to mold the squad even more to his liking, with the 24-year-old Frenchman a prime target.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Benitez has informed Napoli sporting director Riccardo Bigon that Schneiderlin is high on his wish list as a midfield reinforcement.
The 24-year-old has a contract with Southampton through June 2017, but Benitez has apparently not let that hinder his pursuit, while he has also been linked with a possible move to Arsenal, as well as having drawn interest from Roma.
Schneiderlin has made 27 league appearances for Southampton this season, scoring two goals
