Alvaro Arbeloa Real MadridNapoli remain interested in bringing Spanish defender Alvaro Arbeloa to the Stadio San Paolo.

The 31-year-old played under Partnepoi coach Rafael Benitez between 2007 and 2009 at English Premier League club Liverpool.

Napoli recently signed French defender Kalidou Koulibaly, but according to Tuttosport, Benitez is still targeting Arbeloa, who is expected to leave Real Madrid  at the end of the season despite being contracted until 2016.

The Salamanca-born right-back has fallen down the pecking order at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu due to the rise of 22-year-old Daniel Carvajal.

Arbeloa has played over 125 times for Los Blancos in his two spells at the club, and he has also represented Spain on 56 occasions.
