Daniel Agger LiverpoolNapoli target Daniel Agger has revealed that he’s disappointed with his amount of playing time at Liverpool during the 2013-14 campaign and admitted that he’s unsure of his future with the Premier League side.

The 29-year-old defender has lost his place as one of Reds coach Brendan Rodgers’ favoured defenders, though he still managed to score two goals in his 20 league appearances for the club this past season, and it seems he may now be open to joining former Liverpool coach Rafa Benitez in Naples this summer.

Agger spoke to Ekstrabladet.dk about his future with the English club and insisted that he’s mainly focused on performing well with Denmark in their upcoming friendlies for now.

“I’m disappointed for having played less that expected, but it’s the coach who makes the decisions,” said the Danish international, who arrived Liverpool in 2006.

“My future? I need to ask the club, but right now I’m focused on doing well with Denmark.”
