Napoli defender Juan Camilo Zuniga has revealed that he’s now focused on the World Cup after the Azzurri’s Coppa Italia win on Saturday.
The 28-year-old, who hasn’t appeared for the Partenopei since October 2013 due to a knee injury, has confirmed that he’s finally fit and is ready to play for Colombia at the World Cup in Brazil this summer if he receives a call up.
Zuniga spoke to El Colombiano about his hopes to appear for his country at the World Cup in a couple of months, while also admitting that he’s happy with Napoli’s Coppa Italia win over Fiorentina, which they achieved with a 3-1 result.
“Winning a competition like the Coppa Italia is always a valid reason for satisfaction,” said the Colombian international.
“Now I hope to play in the World Cup with Colombia. I have recovered from my injury and I’m available with great ambitions.”
The defender has made just four Serie A appearances for Napoli this season thus far.
