AC Milan striker M’Baye Niang has confirmed that on his return to Italy he and his agent will sit down with the club and decide if he has an immediate future with the Rossoneri.

The 19-year-old has spent the second half of the season on loan at French side Montpellier making 19 Ligue 1 appearances and scoring four goals after failing to register a single Serie A goal in his first 18 months in Milan.

“I have a contract with AC Milan and will soon return to Italy,” Niang told Gazzettatv.

“Then I will talk with the club to try and understand what the future will be for me.

“Much will depend on who will be the coach of the club, but also on me.

“Milan are a great team and if I had the chance to stay and play regularly I would not say no.

“Otherwise I’ll have to make a decision and think about whether to go to another club in Italy or abroad.”
