Olympique Lyonnais are set to test Catania’s resolve by making an offer in the region of €5-6 million for right-back Gino Peruzzi.
The Argentinean defender joined the Elefanti last summer for €3 million after turning down reported interest from English side Sunderland, however Peruzzi has starred for the team which has struggled in a relegation battle for most of this season.
It is understood that Catania believe Lyon’s valuation of Peruzzi to be far too low and are seeking an improved bid should talks continue according to gianlucadimarzio.com
The directors at Catania plan to meet with Peruzzi and his representatives to discuss the player’s future in the coming weeks and to find out his intentions.
Lyon are not the only club linked to the Argentine with AC Milan and Tottenham Hotspur also linked.
Peruzzi has made 21 league appearances for Catania this season.
