The former Galatasaray player Didier Drogba stated that he wants to play in the Champions League.
The 36-year-old striker is reportedly very close to Juventus, which pursued him also after he left Shangai Shenhua.
“I want a competitive team that allows me to play in the Champions League,” Drogba told the magazine Surface.
He also discussed his stint in the Turkish club.
“It will stay in my heart, I am very proud to have worn Galatasaray’s jersey.”
Juventus are pondering on his age and wages before pulling the trigger on the deal.
In a year and a half with Galatasaray, Drogba has played 53 games, scoring 20 goals.
