Roma CEO Italo Zanzi has insisted that the capital city club’s partnership with Disney is important for the team’s mission to connect with young fans around the world.

The Giallorossi will be heading to the United States to train in Orlando, Florida for the third consecutive year from May 22 until May 25, where they will also play a friendly against local team Orlando City on May 23, and the Lupi executive feels the annual trip has been helping the Italian side spread their name internationally.

Zanzi spoke to the official Roma website about the club’s partnership with Disney and what their plans are during their stay in the United States.

“Our partnership with Disney is an important part of our efforts to connect with young fans worldwide,” said the 40-year-old.

“We look forward to hosting fans, particularly the Disney Memorial Day Shootout players, at our training and for an exciting match versus Orlando City.”

Disney Sports’ director of sports development Mike Millay also spoke about Roma’s trip to Orlando and the excitement that surrounds their yearly visit.

“It’s always a thrill for the youth athletes and coaches competing and training at our sports complex when Roma is here,” he said.

“Having world-class football teams, prestigious youth football events and creating unique football experiences are part of what makes our sports complex one of the premier youth football venues in the country.”
