AC Milan have officially announced the signing of midfielder Andrea Poli.

The midfielder spent last season with the Rossoneri as part of a c0-ownership deal with Sampdoria. Milan had originally paid Sampdoria  €1.8 million and the co-ownership rights to Bartosz Salamon.

However, a statement on AC Milan’s official website read that the club had made both Poli’s move to Milan and Salamon’s to Sampdoria permanent. Milan still have 13 more players on co-ownership deals.

“AC Milan has completed the outright signing of Andrea Poli from UC Sampdoria, who have completed the outright signing of Bartosz Salamon,” read the official statement.

It is believed Milan have paid Sampdoria an additional €2.5m plus their half of Salamon for full-ownership of Poli. Milan have already begun their summer mercato business by signing Michael Agazzi and former Paris Saint-Germain player Alex on free-transfers, respectively. Milan are also being linked to the likes of Jeremy Menez and Aly Cissokho.

Poli played 23 times in total for Milan last season notching two goals and one assist. Meanwhile Salamon, the 23-year-old midfielder, featured a mere one time for Sampdoria.
