Giampiero Pocetta, agent of Parma striker Amauri, has revealed that his client is saddened by the Crociati’s exclusion from the Europa League next season.

The Ducali lost their place in the Europa League for the 2014-15 term after all of their recent appeals to attain a UEFA licence had been rejected by the FIGC due to problems regarding outstanding tax debt and the agent admits the former Juventus man was disappointed to learn of the unfortunate news after the final appeal was turned down on Thursday.

Pocetta spoke to Tuttomercatoweb.com on Friday about Amauri’s feelings toward the situation while also commenting on his future, as he has been a target of Brazilian club Bahia and MLS side Montreal Impact as of late.

“Yes, Bahia want Amauri and they’re pushing to sign him,” said the agent. “The player, however, still has two more years on his contract and there are also other teams interested in him.

“Which teams? Teams from America and Arab countries. There’s Montreal and clubs from Qatar. However, I believe his transfer wouldn’t be possible at this time.

“The news of Parma’s exclusion from the Europa League? I heard about it this morning. He was very saddened by the exclusion from Europe, I could only imagine.”
