Juventus boss Antonio Conte has reportedly rejected the idea of bringing Galatasaray striker Didier Drogba to the Old Lady this summer.

The 36-year-old, who scored 15 goals in his 38 Super Lig appearances for Gala last term, had been linked with a transfer to the Bianconeri in recent weeks, though it now seems that the veteran striker may be on the verge of joining Jose Mourinho at former club Chelsea instead of moving to the Italian giants.

According to Sportmediaset.it, Conte is apparently looking to strengthen his attack with someone other than Drogba and could be considering the sale of Juve striker Fernando Llorente as a way to increase the club’s funds.

Llorente, who just joined the Old Lady from Athletic Bilbao last summer, provided 16 goals and five assists in his 34 Serie A appearances for Juventus last season.

It has also been reported that one of the tactician’s main objectives is to keep star midfielders Arturo Vidal and Paul Pogba in Turin beyond the summer transfer window at all costs.
