Alberto Gilardino could be on his to China and Guangzhou Evergrande FC this summer and bring to a close his Serie A career.
The 31-year-old would join former Azzurri World Cup winner Marcelo Lippi in China and it could work to sway to the Italian to join.
Alfredo Pedulla, who runs a successful blog on Genoa brings the latest news on the transfer where he states that: “The deal is set and remains standing.
“Alberto is weighing up the choices and is seriously considering the proposal from Guangzhou.
“The presence of Marcelo Lippi is guaranteed to effect the choice and they’ve already spoken about a contract which Gilardino is happy with in every way.”
Pedulla goes on the write that: “The Chinese presidents held a meeting in a Milan hotel about the deal and now the situation is pending a decision.
“From then on it’s all about what Gilardino wants and what is best for him and Genoa.’’
