Greece has completed their pre-World Cup friendlies on Friday night.

The Ethniki had three matches, with two matches against other countries heading to Brazil.

The Greeks opened up against Group G side Portugal in Lisbon on May 31, earning a 0-0 draw. Despite the positive result, the offensive side struggled, getting only one shot on target.

The side then traveled to the United States, getting a 0-0 draw against group F participant Nigeria. The Ethniki looked stronger, keeping more possession against the Super Eagles and put more shots on target.

Before heading to Brazil, the side finished on a high note, defeating South American side Bolivia by a score of 2-1.

The Ethniki took the lead in the 21st minute through midfielder Panagiotis Kone. He was left unmarked and the cross from Dimitris Salpingidis found him.

They doubled the lead in the 54th minute from a set piece, as Konstantinos Katsouranis directed a corner from Jose Holebas into the  top corner.

Bolivia got back into the match in the 70th minute as Rudy Cardozo’s shot squirmed underneath Orestis Karnezis, who should have dealt better with it.

The Greeks now head to their base camp at Aracaju before their first match on June 14th against Colombia.
