Important news expected from Italy’s FIGC press conference

The men in power at the Italian FA, the FIGC, are set to hold a press conference very soon where an “important announcement” will be made.

This comes in the wake of the Azzurri’s disappointing exit from the World Cup group stages for the second successive tournament.

Sky Sport Italia, on the ground in Brazil, are reporting that president Giancarlo Abete and Demetrio Albertini will hold a press conference in which “important news about the national team” will be revealed.

It is not known yet what the announcement will be despite speculation surrounding the future of coach Cesare Prandelli in the wake of the exit.
