Inter are hoping that Andrea Ranocchia will agree to a proposed three-year contract renewal.
The 26-year-old, signed from Genoa in 2010, is seen as a vital part of the Nerazzurri’s future plans, with club legend Javier Zanetti recently backing the central defender to replace him as captain.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Inter are currently awaiting response from the player to their contract proposal.
However, Ranocchia has also been linked with a move to Juventus of late, having previously played under Antonio Conte at Arezzo and Bari.
Ranocchia, who made 23 Serie A appearances in 2013/14, is on World Cup duty in Brazil with the Italian national side.
