Italy v Luxembourg – Starting Line Ups

Balotelli and Cassano ItalyAC Milan striker Mario Balotelli will start Italy’s friendly against Luxembourg on Wednesday evening.

The 23 year-old was left out of the last friendly against the Republic of Ireland where the Azzurri were held to a draw.

Cesare Prandelli has named his starting-eleven for their pre-World Cup friendly against Luxembourg this evening.

Juventus’ Gianluigi Buffon, Giorgio Chiellini and Andrea Pirlo have also returned to make up the core of Italy’s team.

Lazio’s Antonio Candreva’s gets the nod and Marco Verratti retains his place after showing promise in the last match.

Italy (4-3-2-1): Buffon; Abate, Bonucci, Chiellini, De Sciglio; De Rossi, Pirlo, Verratti; Candreva, Marchisio; Balotelli.

Expected Luxembourg (4-1-4-1): Moris; Jans, Schnell, Chanot, Janisch; Philipps; Alves da Mota, Gerson, Mutsch, Bensi; Joachim.
