Ivory Coast coach Sabri Lamouchi was delighted after his side came from behind to defeat Japan 2-1 in World Cup action, but he did ask his side to remain focused as nothing has been decided with regards to qualification.

Les Elephants came from a goal behind to defeat the Blue Samurai in Group C action, and while the victory leaves them in a good position to qualify for the next round, the Frenchman stated that nothing has been decided yet.

“We didn’t start the match well and we conceded the first goal due to a defensive miscue,” he stated after the match as reported by calciomercato.com.

“For us it was important to reopen the match in order to start the competition well.

“Having a player like Didier Drogba in our team, whether he starts or comes off the bench, can change the match.

“Our players are obviously very happy with the victory but we must remain concentrated because we haven’t yet qualified.”
