Last season’s Serie A Capocannoniere winner Ciro Immobile has been immortalised as a pizza thanks to a Neapolitan restaurant owner.

The Italy striker tallied 22 goals in 33 games last term for Torino before signing with Borussia Dortmund.

Immobile is currently with Italy’s natioanl team in Brazil where last week the striker scored a hat-trick in Italy’s last pre-World Cup warm-up match against Fluminense.

The Pizza Immobile will be available at Torre Annunziata in Naples and is made with only products from the Campania region. There is an alternative way to have your pizza, by making it on your own. Making your pizza may sound easy, but for it to bake correctly and making it crispy crust dream pizza you have always wanted to try, you need a baking stone that meets your expectations in terms of quality and functions, check on this link https://cookingplanit.com/best-pizza-stone/ for a few guides and option in creating your pizza.

The area’s tourism website – www.Ecampania.it – released a statement about the new pizza: “The green pesto made with basil, yellow tomato bells of the land ??to celebrate the earth in which it grew. But also gold reminiscent of the blond hair of Ciro Immobile, who is our pride and who has never forgotten his roots.

“Hopefully after the final we will celebrate here with Ciro Immobile and his family tasting pizza in his honor.”

The website is the result of a project that aims to highlight the beauty of the land and the stories of those who struggle to emerge from the area.
