Sky Italia and Mediaset have reached an agreement with the Lega Calcio to show matches of the top eight Serie A clubs for the next three seasons.
The deal will also see Sky Italia have the exclusive rights to broadcast matches for the other 12 Serie A clubs for the duration of the contract which runs from 2015 to 2018.
The two companies currently hold the rights to Serie A matches but the new deal will see Mediaset broadcast fewer matches while Sky Italia will broadcast some matches exclusively.
The agreementbetweenSky, Mediaset and the Lega Calcio will see the Serie A receive €943million per season, €114m more than they were set to make during the samethree-year period.
