Vrsaljko – Genoa

AC Milan have stated their interest in Genoa pair Sime Vrsaljko and Mattia Perin.

The news comes amidst talk of Milan striker Alessandro Matri reportedly set to replace Alberto Gilardino at Genoa.

According to this morning’s addition of Tuttosport the Rossoneri could be about to engage in negotiations with the Grifone.

Vrsaljko is seen as an adequate replacement for Ignazio Abate who has recently attracted interest from Paris Saint Germain.

With Gilardino widely touted to be on his way to Guangzhou Evergrande the signing of Matri could be an important addition.

However Milan now have the opportunity to see a return on the €12 million they paid Juventus for the 29 year-old striker.

Adriano Galliani had dinner with Genoa president Enrico Preziosi on Tuesday where they touched on Vrsaljko and Perin.

Milan see the 21 year-old keeper as the heir to Christian Abbiati and will be hopeful of signing him either now or later.
