Gary Medel is looking to complete his move to Inter after his agent was expected to meet Cardiff officials on Friday to try and thrash out an agreement.

The Chilean had a fine World Cup that generated interest from abroad as he played in a three-man defence in Brazil. He is now set to leave Cardiff following their relegation last season.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Piero Ausilio, Inter’s technical director, will meet Cardiff officials on Monday to reach an agreement for the defensive midfielder. Cardiff have set an asking price between €9m and €10m for the 26-year-old and it looks certain the two clubs will conclude the negotiations soon, with Inter having already reached an agreement with the player and his agent.

The Chilean made 34 Premier League appearances for the Bluebirds last season as his side ended a horrible campaign by finishing bottom of the Premier League.
