Juventus are on the cusp of signing Hellas Verona midfielder Romulo after the player left the Gialloblu’s training camp on Sunday.

Talks between the Old Lady and the Mastini were expected to continue until Tuesday but it appears that the Italo-Brazilian could be in Turin prior to then to undertake a medical examination with his new club.

Tuttomercatoweb.com reports that with the Bianconeri set to leave for their Australian tour on Sunday, where they will play A-League All Stars in Sydney on August 10, Romulo is expected to be part of the squad when the trip is made.

Romulo was included into Italy’s provisional 30-man squad for the World Cup but was omitted from the final 23-man squad for the tournament due to injury.

He netted six goals and notched up eight assists in 32 appearances for Verona last season.
