Inter are set to beat Juventus and AC Milan in the race to sign highly rated 16 year old Giacomo Zanetti from Padova.
With club legend Javier Zanetti having retired at the end of last season it appears the Nerazzurri are set to keep the Zanetti name going at the club though the two are not related.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Nerazzurri director Piero Ausilio has sealed the signing of the Italian youngster over the weekend and should be announced in the coming hours.
Giacomo, like Javier, is a primarily right sided player but is able to play in several positions due to his versatility.
Zanetti has represented Italy at the youth level.
