Juventus are close to completing the signing of Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid, according to reports.

The Spanish striker has been the subject of heavy interest from the Arsenal and Wolfsburg this summer, but it now appears Juventus have got their man.

“By Tuesday Morata could arrive in Italy, he has practically signed for Juventus,” said Sportitalia.

“The figures circulating for the deal and for the subsequent buy-back clause have been confirmed by the Spanish media; the final details will then be filed in the next few days to put the player at the disposal of Antonio Conte.”

British newspaper the Daily Mail reports that the 21-year-old will have a medical in Turin before the end of the week and complete a €22 million move on a four-year contract, with Real Madrid having the option to buy the player back next season for €30 million.

The player himself has also spoken about the move that will see him link up with compatriot Fernando Llorente at the Juventus Stadium.

“I can’t wait to get to Turin, everyone has told me it’s a great city, and I am looking forward to getting to know it,” he told Spanish newspaper Marca.

“I haven’t had the chance to speak to Fernando, but it’s always good to have someone you know in the dressing room when you get to a new club.”
