Juventus wingback Stephan Lichsteiner could be set to leave the Old Lady this summer after failing to negotiate an extension with the club.
The right wing back, who was signed from Lazio in 2011 for a fee of €10 million, has lifted three successive Scudetto’s with the Bianconeri but it appears his future in Turin may be in doubt.
The Daily Express are reporting that the Swiss international is not willing to extend his stay in Turin, with his contract expiring in 2015. This has in turn alerted a number of top European clubs with Chelsea and Arsenal interested in landing his services.
Arsenal will be desperate to sign a right back following Bacaray Sagna’s departure and many fans believe Lichsteiner with his pace and agility would easily fit in.
Lichsteiner was an integral part of the Switzerland national team, that crashed out of the World Cup against Argentina in the Round of 16.
