Lazio join race for Aston Villa star Vlaar

Lazio are looking to secure the signature of Aston Villa star Ron Vlaar, who has one year left on his current deal.

The 29 year old Dutch international had a superb World Cup, and has attracted the attention of fellow English sides Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton.

LaLazioSiamoNoi report that Lazio have made a late charge as they look to reunite Vlaar with his international teammate in Stefan De Vrij, who just completed a move to the Aquile from Feyenoord.

Villa are apparently after €10 million if they are to do business with another club, but know that they may have to sell for a lower price given the player’s expiring contract.
