Inter coach Walter Mazzarri is pleased with the Nerazzurri’s pre-season preparations after winning their first friendly of the 2014-15 campaign.

The Nerazzurri defeated Trentino Team 6-1 with Jonathan opening the scoring before Mauro Icardi and Federico Bonazzoli bagged a brace each, while Juan Jesus completed the rout.

“They played a good match, although they’re obviously feeling the effects of the workload,” the 52-year-old tactician told Inter Channel after the match.

“Every day I can see how willing they all are. I’m happy with the group. They’re united and ready to battle.

“They all played good football and tried to put into action what I requested of them.

“And obviously little things can improve. The one thing I’d like to see more of is better finishing.”

Mazzarri also commented on new signing Yann M’Vila making his debut as a second-half substitute and Andrea Ranocchia wearing the captain’s armband.

“Yann has just arrived,” he continued.

“He has to get situated, but he touches the ball well and knows how to move on the pitch.

“He just needs to train and acquire autonomy.

“Andrea is the right age to carry the responsibility the armband brings. And he has all the right qualities to do it.”
