Ligue 1 outfit Monaco have contacted Inter about the availability of Colombian midfielder Fredy Guarin.

The French side have recently lost star man James Rodriguez to Real Madrid, and are looking to strengthen their squad for the upcoming 2014/2015 season.

According to Sky Sport ItaliaMonaco plan to use some of the €80 million they received from the sale of James Rodriguez to lure Guarin away from the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

The report also states that the French side contacted Inter immediately after the sale of James, and the Nerazzurri are willing to listen to offers for the player.

It is also worth mentioning that The Red and Whites are reportedly interested in Torino man Alessio Cerci.
