Peruzzi – Catania
Catania’s Gonzalo Bergessio and Gino Peruzzi could be playing their football at Fiorentina next season, reports in Sicily suggest.
The Argentine right back has been linked with a move to AC Milan, but now La Viola have expressed an interest.
According to reports from the Sicilian edition of Gazzetta dello Sport, Vincenzo Montella is convinced of the quality of Peruzzi and believes he, along with Gonzalo Bergessio, will aid Firoentina in the upcoming 2014-15 campaign.
Since joining Catania from Vélez Sarsfield for €3.4 million in summer of 2013, Peruzzi impressed during his 23 Serie A appearances, despite the club being relegated to the second-tier.
Montella worked with Bergessio during his lone season at Catania, in which he led Rossazzurri to a mid-table finish and ahead of Sicilian rivals Palermo for the first time in eight years.
