Fiorentina defeated Argentine club Estudiantes on Saturday evening 1-0 in a preseason friendly thanks to a goal by Mario Gomez.
Fiorentina are currently in South America playing in the Copa EuroAmericana tournament.
Following the match, Firenzeviola.it caught up with club captain Manuel Pasqual and asked him about the game and preseason so far.
“We took this tour in the best way,” Pasqual stated. “We want to make a good impression.
“We have asked for serenity after the tensions of last year. We started well today, and there is great enthusiasm in the group.”
Fiorentina now travel to Brazil to take on Palmeiras on Thursday. The Viola will finish their South American tour on August 2 against Universitario.
