Prandelli in talks with Galatasaray over vacant manager post

PrandelliTurkish club Galatasary have confirmed they have held discussions with former Italy coach, Cesare Prandelli, over their vacant managerial post.

Prandelli resigned from his job as Azzurri coach after their elimination from the World Cup. While Galatasaray have been in search of a new coach since Roberto Mancini departed last month, and have also recently revealed they held informal talks with former Manchester United manager, David Moyes.

“Galatasaray Sportif has announced that they have begun negotiating with the Italian Football Manager Cesare Prandelli,” read a statement on the club’s official website. 

“The public will be updated about further developments.” 

Galatasaray would represent Prandelli’s first coaching role outside of Italy and a return to club management for the first time since leaving Fiorentina in 2010.
