AC Milan are reportedly close to signing Real Madrid goalkeeper Diego Lopez on a year long loan deal.

After the signing of Keylor Navas the Spanish side have a surplus of goalkeepers and Lopez, who acted as Madrid’s number one man last season, will have a tough decision to make in terms of where he wants to go in order to secure regular first team football.

According to Sky Sport Italia Lopez is not interested in a loan deal and wants a more permanent option. Negotiations are currently going on between the clubs and Milan are reportedly doing all they can do to acquire the Spanish man.

Last season for Real Madrid, Lopez made 36 appearances and won the Copa del Rey as well as the Champions League with his team.
