AC Milan are reportedly interested in landing Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina for the upcoming season.

The 31 year old Spanish custodian, who moved to Anfield in 2005 from Villareal for a transfer fee of €10 million, joined Napoli on a season long loan deal in the summer of 2013 and returned back to the Reds once his loan deal was completed.

According to a report from Sky Sport Italia, Reina is a target for Milan in the transfer market as they looked to solidify the position.

However the report suggests that Filippo Inzaghi’s interest in the Spaniard has cooled after learning of his wage demands, putting a damper on a possible move for the former Azzurri man.

Napoli and Bayern Munich remain in the race to sign the Reds stopper.

Reina made 30 appearances for Napoli in the Serie A last season.
