Chelsea forward Fernando Torres has reportedly no intention of leaving the Premier League for the Serie A.

It had been thought that Chelsea were keen to sell the Spaniard this summer and a host of Italian sides, including AC Milan and Roma have made inquiries into his availability.

However, the Mail on Sunday are reporting that the 30 year old wants to stay and fight for his place, despite not making the match day squad for Chelsea’s 2 – 0 win over Leicester on Saturday.

Indeed, Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho would prefer if Torres stayed saying, “I believe he will remain. I want him. He will play. He will score goals. He will be very useful for us.”

Torres moved to Chelsea for a reported €62 million in 2011 scoring 45 times in 172 appearances.
