Di Natale: Udinese and Empoli are my family

Di Natale - UdineseUdinese striker Antonio Di Natale has spoken fondly about his experience at the top tier of Italian football with both Udinese and Empoli and that he has goals to complete before he calls it quits.

The Italian forward has spent his entire career at either Empoli and Udinese, apart from a two-year period of loans, and has paid tribute to both organizations.

“Ten years ago I signed with Udinese, I called Pozzo and Spalletti my family,” the Italian revealed to Sky Sport 24..

“I signed and came here, it was a joy after so many years with Empoli.

“It’s been a beautiful experience and I have had quite the journey, I thank the organization and the fans.”

The 36 year old Udinese talisman also spoke highly of his boyhood club proclaiming, “They [Empoli] are family too.”

Di Natale revealed his considerations on retiring however stating, “I want to give something more,” in regards to the Zebrette.

Finally, when asked about his objectives for the season the Italian quickly replied, “Getting in front of Roberto Baggio as soon as possible.”

Italian legend Baggio currently sits one spot ahead of the Udinese man as sixth on the all-time goalscoring list in Serie A.
