Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Montella was left a happy man following his side’s convincing 5-0 friendly victory against Arezzo.
La Viola’s win was made all the better by the performance of Federico Bernardeschi, as they youngster notched a hat-trick as the club look to get on the right track ahead of the Serie A season.
“We need to play as many matches as possible to stay in good shape,” he told RadioBlu after the match.
“Bernardeschi had a solid match. He still does have room to develop.”
Montella also spoke about striker Giuseppe Rossi who has been struggling with knee pain.
“I’m saddened for him but he knows that he has to rise above these problems.”
