Fiorentina Juan CuadradoFiorentina president Andre Dalle Valle told a press conference that he would not turn down a big offer for Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado.

Cuadrado starred for La Viola last season and at the World Cup for Colombia but has since been heavily linked with a €40 million move to Barcelona and Manchester United, and following the wingers return to training on Thursday, the club president Dalle Valle met the player to discuss his future with the club.

“If we were to get an important offer we will let him go,” Dalle Valle told firenzeviola.it following today’s meeting with the winger.

“I asked him to stay for one more season as because we have a serious project and he seemed open to staying for another year with a winning team and a winning project.

“Percentage that he could stay? I do not know, but it will be difficult to keep him.”

Dalle Valle maintained throughout, though, that Fiorentina could hang onto the tricky winger, with the next ten days vital for the players future.

“Next week will be decisive and fundamental. We have given ourselves ten days to negotiate. I have refused massive offers for players before, and I have kept important players, but we cannot match the wages being offered.”

As for Fiorentina’s future if Cuadrado leaves, Dalle Valle was very positive about the current state of the squad, with more players expected to arrive.

“We are involved in the market but we will not overspend. There will be signings made in the next few weeks and anyway, apart from the top three I do not see any team better than us. This is a super competitive team which does not revolve around one player.”

Fiorentina are braced for bids from Europes biggest clubs in the coming days, but will recoup well in excess of the fee paid out for the Colombian superstar.
