Fiorentina have stepped up their efforts to sign Montpellier midfielder Benjamin Stambouli, after it has emerged Swansea have had a bid accepted for him.
The 23 year old Frenchman has less than a year to run on his existing contract and Montpellier are willing to listen to offers for the midfielder who can also play in defence.
Midi Libre report that Fiorentina will send a delegate tomorrow to the French club to try and thrash out a deal for the highly rated midfielder.
Swansea City have reportedly had a €5 million offer accepted by the club already, so the Viola will have to accelerate the process if they are to sign Stambouli.
Developments are expected in the coming days as Stambouli has to decide which club he wants to join.
