antonio conte JuventusNew FIGC President Carlo Tavecchio has contacted Antonio Conte as the former Juventus coach is the preferred man become the new coach of the Italian national team.

The ex-Bianconeri boss has been linked with the position since he decided to part ways with Juventus following his very successful spell, which saw the Old Lady clinch three straight Scudetto’s.

Sky Sport Italia are reporting that he is partial to taking the role if three particular demands are accepted by the Italian federation.

Firstly, he is requesting adequate remuneration, while close ties with Italian coaches and clubs will also be essential.

Finally he is asking for at least two to three training camps to be organised while the Serie A season is taking place.

The post has been left vacant after Cesare Prandelli stood down after Italy’s disappointing first round exit at the recent World Cup in Brazil.
