GarganoAlthough selected by Napoli coach Rafael Benitez to feature in each of their crucial Champions League play-off matches with Spanish side Athletic Club, defensive midfielder Walter Gargano still looks set for the exit door before the transfer window closes on Monday night.

The 30-year-old spent last season on loan at fellow Serie A club Parma, but the Gialloblu have been slow on making a move to take him back on a permanent deal despite coach Roberto Donadoni admitting he would like the Uruguayan at the Ennio Tardini.

However, Sky Sport Italia report that Parma are now set to secure the permanent signing of the midfielder with Napoli now only requesting €3m for his sale.

That money is likely to be reinvested in the imminent arrival of David Lopez to Napoli from Espanyol, while Gargano will be happy to leave Naples where he has received fan protests for his comments toward the club when initially departing to Inter on loan in August 2012.
