Inter have reportedly enquired about the availability of Hoffenheim’s attacking midfielder Roberto Firmino.

The Italian club’s technical director Piero Ausilio was told by the German club that the 22-year-old would be available for €20 million, having shone last season with 16 goals and 11 assists from 33 appearances.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the Nerazzurri are still interested in signing the Brazilian playmaker, although they have been deterred by the price, and instead could look at other targets which include Roma’s Adem Ljajic, Juventus’ Sebastian Giovinco and Andre Ayew of Marseille.

PSG’s Adrien Rabiot is another player whom Inter could attempt to buy as they look to generate transfer funds with the sale of unwanted players like Fredy Guarin and Ricky Alvarez, however they face stiff competition from English club Arsenal for the 19-year-old’s signature.
