Inter are looking to immediately secure a replacement for Premiership-bound Ricky Alvarez and have turned their attention to Atalanta midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura.
The Argentine winger is set to join Sunderland and the Nerazzurri are wasting no time in finding a quality alternative, with Bonaventura the first name on their wanted list.
According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Inter have made an enquiry for the 25-year-old and an asking price of between €8 million and €10m has been slapped on the ‘trequartista’.
The San Siro side could face stiff competition from Fiorentina, should La Dea decide to cash in on one of their crown jewels. However, Inter do appear to be in pole position, as the player’s agent Giocondo Martorelli is currently in Milan.
Bonaventura has spent his entire career owned by Atalanta, only leaving on loan for spells at Pergocrema and Padova, before becoming a first team regular.
