The agent of Inter defensive midfielder Ibrahima Mbaye, Beppe Accard, has insisted that his client will move to Genoa on loan for the coming Serie A season, but the first priority is negotiating a contract extension with the Milan club.
The 19-year-old joined the Nerazzurri from Senegalese youth academy Etoile Lusitana in January 2011 and got his first taste of Italian football last term impressing on-loan at Livorno despite their relegation.
“There was a meeting today with Genoa and there is no [confirmed] arrangement, but they are optimistic about the transfer,” Accardi told SportItalia.
“We will renew the contract with Inter and then [Mbaye will] go on loan to the Rossoblu.”
The Senegalese youngster who also operated in defence made 24 Serie A appearances for the Amaranto last season scoring twice in their 4-2 defeat to Sampdoria at the Luigi Ferraris in March.
