Following the arrivals of Gary Medel and Pablo Osvaldo, Inter are set to reduce their squad size by releasing up to six first team players.

Medel and Osvaldo have both arrived in Milan for medical examinations ahead of moves from Cardiff City and Southampton respectively, making that seven new arrivals in coach Walter Mazzarri’s squad, as well as numerous players returning from loan deals.

And following the clubs recent tour of the United States, Tuttosport report that the Nerazzurri’s director of sport Piero Ausillio will now focus on moving fringe players from the bloated first team squad out, whether in loan moves or permanent transfers.

The highest profile name believed to be destined to leave the San Siro is Colombian international Fredy Guarin, with the Nerazzurri requesting a fee of around €15 million from interested clubs for the player, though links with the likes of Manchester United and Monaco have so far been fruitless.

A player drawing more interest is Serbian midfielder Zdravko Kuzmanovic, who is interesting clubs in both Spain and Germany, while Algerian midfielder Saphir Taider and Italian international winger Ezequiel Schelotto both look set to seal loan deals to Southampton in the coming days.

Finally, in defense Ausillio is still trying to re-sign Rolando from Porto after his successful loan spell in Milan last season, but first he must move on Argentine pair Matias Silvestre and Hugo Campagnaro, with both defenders drawing interest from around Serie A.
