Inter defender Jonathan has revealed that he’s happy with the pending arrival of Pablo Osvaldo to the Biscione ahead of the new season.
The 28-year-old striker is expected to finalise his season-long loan move to the Nerazzurri from English side Southampton by Tuesday and Jonathan is confident that the former Roma man will be a positive contribution to coach Walter Mazzarri’s squad.
Jonathan spoke to Sky Sport Italia after arriving back in Milan from Inter’s United States tour about having Osvaldo in the team and commented on the San Siro outfit’s main objective for the 2014-15 campaign.
“Our aim is to do our best possible, it is still too early to really talk about it but we must make our way back into the Champions League,” said the 28-year-old Brazilian.
“Osvaldo? He’s a very good purchase for this club, he will definitely be able to give us a hand throughout the new season.”
