Juventus striker Carlos Tevez has suggested that there is a strong chance of him retiring from professional football in Australia.
The 30-year-old former Argentina international, who moved to Turin under Antonio Conte in the summer of 2013 for a transfer fee of €9 million from English side Manchester City, has since then been an integral player for the Bianconeri.
During a press conference on the eve of his side’s game against the A-League All Stars on their Asia and Pacific tour, Tevez admitted that he could follow the path of his predecessor, Alessandro Del Piero, to play in the A-League in Australia.
“As done by Ale, this is definitely something that I might consider“ he admitted about ending his career in Australia.
”The game against A-league All Stars will be a great event. I am excited to play against Ale’s team.
“I have always valued Ale. I have always spoken well of him and he has also done the same for me. I don’t know if I will exchange shirts with Ale but it will be nice to see him on the field.”
Tevez was the third top scorer in the Serie A last season scoring 19 goals and also providing seven assists in his 34 appearances for the La Vecchia Signora, guiding them to their third Scudetto in three years.
