Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta announced that his team does not plan to bid for Monaco forward Radamel Falcao, or any other high-profile players before the transfer deadline.

The Colombian was reportedly closely tied with a move out of Ligue 1 and to the Bianconeri. However, Marotta recently denied such claims and continued further saying that The Old Lady would not be bidding for any high-profile players for the remainder of the transfer window.

In a publication from Sky Sport Italia, Marotta is quoted saying, “we’re lacking a forward, a second striker in a compartment that already gives us many certainties, but it will not be a [player with] a major profile.”

The club completed signings of Patrice Evra from Manchester United and Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid in July, and have been linked with a number of forwards including Javier Hernandez, Lacina Traore, Luiz Adriano, and Lukas Podolski.
