Juventus have targeted Javier Hernandez, Stevan Jovetic or Ezequiel Lavezzi to strengthen their forward line ahead of the new season.

The Bianconeri have already spent €20 million this summer on Spanish striker Alvaro Morata, but an injury to the 21 year old has seen new coach Massimiliano Allegri’s forward options limited following the sale of Fabio Quagliarella to Torino and the return of Pablo Osvaldo to his parent club, and subsequently his departure to Inter.

With this in mind, Tuttosport have revealed a three man shortlist to strengthen the squad ahead of the campaign with Premier League duo Hernandez of Manchester United and Jovetic of Manchester City seen to be leading the race, while Paris Saint-Germain forward Lavezzi completes the list.

The dream for the Old Lady would be former Fiorentina forward Jovetic, who they tried to sign before his move to the Premier League last season, but Manchester City are reluctant to sell the talented Montenegrin striker and any sale would require at least €25m, whereas Juventus have set a maximum spend of €17m on their new striker.

While Jovetic is the dream, Mexican star Hernandez seems the most realistic option, with a fee of between €12 and €15m believed to be enough to tempt Manchester United into a sale for the fringe player.

PSG’s Argentine forward Lavezzi is also admired in Turin, with the Parisian’s willing to part with the former Napoli superstar for around €18m as they look to comply with Financial Fair Play.
